Haven Spas are Hot Tubs;
Every summer spa dealers across the country have to deal with the
following from spa owners: "There is something wrong with my
thermostat. I set it down to 85 degrees and the spas is
100! It won't go down in tempertature."
Spas do not have refrigeration in them. Did I mention that spas
do not have refrigeration?
Haven Spas, with the DAIT system are designed
to be the most energy efficient spas, you can get with powerful
features.
If you really want a cool down tub in summer and a hot tub in winter,
then we can modify a Haven DAIT system to do the job. You can
also remove the cover and put in cold water.
Normally in summer we have the DAIT set to conserve energy in summer
and to be optimized for 101 degrees F. For most people this is a
good setting for warm water therapy.

If you are
positive that you want the spa to be a cool tub (95degrees) then we can
modify the spa with special thermoswitches that turn on the DAIT forced
convection fan at a lower temperature and run it a lot longer.
Basically to cool the inside of the cabinet and not hold a warm air
chamber.
However, if you decide to run the "cool down" equipped DAIT spa at a
higher temperature you will lose considerable energy efficiency,
because the cooling fan will be on at the same time you are heating the
spa above 95 degrees.
When the outside temperatures are reduced, the spa will automatically
go into the "winter mode" and start holding heat.
If you just want to cool the spa for a one time use, you can take the
normal DAIT equipoped spa and temporarily cool it down. By
opening the cover and letting off heat; run the blower and put a cold
water hose in it.
